Day 1: Step by Step into Adventure – Welcome to Algeria

You're stepping into Algeria, a country rich in cultural heritage, having hosted countless civilizations throughout history. This first day in the capital will take you on a journey through streets where past and future converge.
After settling into our hotel and having lunch, we'll start our exploration at the famous Algiers Botanical Garden (Jardin d'Essai). Next, we'll visit the National Museum of Fine Arts, one of Africa's largest art museums, and enjoy the captivating Mediterranean view.
In the afternoon, we'll take the funicular up to the Martyrs' Memorial (Maqam Shaheed), Algeria's symbol of freedom. Here, you'll get a bird's-eye view of Algiers Bay and explore historical traces at the National Museum of El Mujahid (Independence Museum).
Our final stop of the day will be a brief journey back in time at the Bardo Museum, among unique prehistoric artifacts. We'll conclude this packed day with dinner, savoring Rechta, a dish from traditional Algerian cuisine.
Day 2: Exploring the Heart of Algiers
In the morning, we'll head towards the historic Kasbah, considered the soul and heart of Algiers. This unique neighborhood, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a place where time seems to stand still, with its labyrinthine narrow streets, whitewashed old houses, mysterious courtyards, and centuries-old mosques. Structures dating back to the Ottoman period offer a fascinating blend of Islamic architecture and Mediterranean culture.
As we walk through the streets of the Kasbah, we'll see traditional artisans and witness handicrafts like copper work, ceramics, and wood carving in small workshops. This old city, with every corner whispering a different story, offers a magical atmosphere that blends past and present.
After lunch, we'll move to the city center to discover the face of modern Algiers. We'll take a short walk in Emir Abdelkader Square and see the majestic Grand Post Office building. Then, we'll stroll along Didouche Mourad Street, feeling the city's cosmopolitan spirit, and reach the old Saint Charles Church.
At sunset, we'll climb the Bologhine Hills to enjoy a magnificent city view from the majestic Notre-Dame d'Afrique Basilica, rising on the Mediterranean coast.
After dinner, we'll transfer to Algiers International Airport. At 11:00 PM, our unforgettable Sahara adventure begins as we depart for Djanet!
Day 3: Djanet, Taflelet
We land in Djanet, close to Algeria's borders with Niger and Libya. In the Algerian Sahara, our Touareg team will meet us at the airport, and then we'll head towards our hotel. After breakfast, we'll visit the Djanet Market for any last-minute shopping before making our way to Taflelet, where we'll spend the evening.
Transportation: Travel in Djanet will be by 4WD vehicles.
Transfer Time: Approximately a 1-hour drive to reach the first Touareg camp.
Meals: Breakfast at the hotel, lunch at a local home, and dinner at the Touareg camp.
Accommodation: Bivouac at the Touareg camp.
Day 4: Taflelet, Tamrit

After breakfast, we'll set off for the famous Piémont region. Then, we'll continue towards the stunning Tamrit Plateau.
Following lunch at the Touareg camp, we'll trek a few more kilometers to explore the Valley of the Cedars and its magnificent grand canyon. In the evening, we'll set up our bivouac under the stars and conclude the day with a traditional dinner. Tonight, we'll savor local delicacies like Taguella, grilled meats, and soups.

Day 5: Tamrit, Séfar
We'll start the day after breakfast, ready for an exploration rich in history and culture. Today, we'll trek to one of the most significant sites for rock inscriptions in the Tassili region.
Along the way, we'll have lunch at the first Touareg camp. Afterward, we'll continue our journey toward the mystical city of Séfar.
In the evening, under the open sky, we'll unwind from the day's exertions with a traditional dinner and settle into our bivouac accommodation for rest.

Day 6: Séfar – Tin-Tazarift
After breakfast, we set off to explore the region of the famous Tin-Zoumaitok frescoes. This historical site showcases the artistic and cultural heritage of the area.
Along the way, we'll have lunch at the first Touareg camp. Afterward, we'll continue our journey towards Tamrit. In the evening, we'll experience a bivouac under the stars, accompanied by a traditional night dance with the Touareg people.

Day 7: Tin-Tazarift – Tin-Zoumaitok – Tamrit
After breakfast, we'll set off to explore the historic Tin-Zoumaitok frescoes. Once we've explored this captivating area, we'll have lunch at a Touareg camp.
After our meal, we'll head towards the Tin-Tazarift region for a 10 km trek, where we'll witness some of Algeria's most authentic desert landscapes. At the end of the day, we'll return to Tamrit for dinner at a traditional Touareg camp and spend the night under the stars.

Day 8: Tamrit – Djanet
After breakfast, we'll set off towards Djanet to explore the historic "Crying Cow" site, with its thousands of years of history. During our journey, our Touareg team will take us to local villages, offering a chance to meet Targui families.
In the afternoon, we'll return to Djanet and settle into a comfortable guesthouse for some rest. Here, you can continue to discover Djanet's beauty while recharging for your next expedition.

Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the Touareg camp

Day 9: Djanet – Algiers
In the morning, we'll depart from Djanet for Algiers. Upon arrival in the capital, we'll check into our hotel.
After settling in, you'll have free time. You can choose to relax, enjoy the hotel's amenities, or take some time for your final explorations of the city. It's a wonderful opportunity to experience Algiers' captivating atmosphere one last time!
Day 10: Tipaza Visit and Transfer to the Airport
After breakfast, we'll head to Tipaza, one of Algeria's most precious ancient sites. We'll explore its Roman-era ruins and historical remnants, taking a delightful step back in time on a journey intertwined with history.
In the afternoon, we'll transfer to the airport. Before our flight, we'll enjoy a farewell dinner together, bringing this unforgettable trip, filled with beautiful memories, to an end.
