Next, we head towards the wild heart of Africa, the Serengeti National Park. In this unique park, we will have an unforgettable experience observing lions, elephants, and giraffes in their natural habitat. Our tour combines the tranquility of Zanzibar and the wild nature of Serengeti.

DAY 1: WELCOME TO ZANZIBAR

Upon your arrival in the tropical paradise of Zanzibar, the Mama & Baba Africa Tours and Travels team will transfer you to your accommodation.

After a rest and breakfast, we will head towards the historical heart of Zanzibar, Stone Town. This enchanting area, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, houses a unique architectural blend of Arab, Indian, African, and European cultures. As you walk through the labyrinth of narrow streets and stone houses, you’ll feel the centuries-old history with every step. We’ll admire the elegant structure of the Zanzibar Doors and discover important historical traces in the region. During our tour in Stone Town, we’ll also visit the Slave Museum, shedding light on an important period in the area's history.

This museum serves as a key stop to understand the history of the slave trade in East Africa.

As an additional exploration, you’ll have the chance to discover the tropical beauty of the Indian Ocean through an underwater experience.

After spending the day lost in the historical atmosphere of Stone Town, we head to the Forodhani Night Market in the evening. Wandering through Zanzibar's colorful and lively night market, you can feel the pulse of local life and observe the street culture closely. We end the evening by returning to your hotel for dinner and rest, allowing you some free time to recharge for the next adventure.

DAY 2: PRISON ISLAND & NAKUPENDA SANDBANK EXPERIENCE

On the second day of our tour, after breakfast, we set off for one of Zanzibar’s most historic and scenic locations: Prison Island. Once a former slave island and later a prison, today it serves as a sanctuary for giant Aldabra tortoises. During our exploration tour, we will visit the island’s historic structures and have the unique opportunity to encounter these magnificent creatures up close.

Next, we head to Nakupenda Island, a breathtaking sandbank whose name means "I love you" in Swahili. Known for its crystal-clear waters and powdery white sand, this paradise offers a perfect escape into tranquility. In addition to its stunning scenery, Nakupenda is famous for its pristine waters, ideal for swimming and relaxation. While enjoying the tropical ambiance, we will indulge in a freshly grilled seafood platter and an assortment of tropical fruits.

After this unforgettable experience, we return to your hotel for rest and dinner, preparing for the next day’s adventure.

DAY 3: JOZANI FOREST, SPICE FARM TOUR & TAARAB MUSIC DINNER EXPERIENCE

After breakfast, we set out for Jozani Forest, a haven of biodiversity and home to the endemic Zanzibar red colobus monkeys. As we explore the forest trails, you’ll witness these rare primates in their natural habitat while learning about the island’s unique flora and the conservation efforts dedicated to protecting its ecosystem.

Next, we immerse ourselves in the fragrant world of Zanzibar’s spice plantations. Referred to as the "Spice Island" for centuries, Zanzibar is known for its production of cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg, and other exotic spices. During this guided tour, you’ll gain insight into how these spices are cultivated and their historical significance in the global spice trade. The experience is not only educational but also an invitation to engage your senses through smell, touch, and taste. Following the spice tour, we return to Stone Town, where you’ll have free time to explore the city at your leisure. Whether you choose to shop for souvenirs, wander through historic alleys, or simply relax in a seaside café, this is your moment to absorb the essence of Zanzibar. In the evening, we gather for an authentic Taarab music dinner experience. This traditional Zanzibari genre, influenced by African, Arabic, and Indian musical styles, creates a mesmerizing atmosphere as you enjoy a carefully curated menu of local delicacies.

At the end of the night, we return to the hotel, allowing you to rest and recharge for the next chapter of your adventure.
